How weird does self promotion feel? well, here goes..
William Marshall graduated from Central Saint Martins as Womenswear Graduate of the year in 2001, as voted for by Stella McCartney and Giles Deacon, going on to lead and mentor various design teams in Europe and the US. In his professional practice of 17 years and counting, William progressed to Design Director, working at high end luxury brands such as Giorgio Armani and Dolce & Gabbana to high street brands such as Urban Outfitters/Anthropologie and Abercrombie & Fitch giving him considerable experience and knowledge of creating collections for varied customer groups. William has been involved in good design on every level, from concept to final product in the creation and developing of brands giving him a broad understanding of European, American and global markets and the ability to work as a valuable team member with other departments such as marketing, buying and public relations.
Throughout his considerable career he gained a fully comprehensive knowledge of process. Responsible for leading a teams in the development of theme, research, design, silhouette, fabric and colour application, development, fitting and production of garments
He now applies this knowledge to which ever new project he is working on. Be it professional, personal, or new ventures such as brand consulting and design services.
